The strange box, weathered and worn, had been lying in the attic of a family home for over three decades. The four teenagers hadn’t thought much of it until they opened it and unleashed a stream of misfortune. Cars wouldn’t start, weather worsened, and things seemed to slowly worsen as they investigated it more and more.

The group – consisting of Corey, Cole, Isabella and Frank – used their wits and discovered the source of the problem. Seems the box was cursed decades prior, said to be the work of an ancient powerful mage. The problem was the curse couldn’t be easily solved and the four friends had to work hard to come up with a counter-curse to break the magic and reverse the misfortune.

Using every resource they could think of – old books, ancient recipes, research papers, and more – the group studied, discussed, and tried every possible solution until eventually one stuck. The curse was officially broken, and the old box was returned to whence it came with no further trouble.

The fourfriends emerged from this ordeal with a newfound appreciation of their own work ethic and perseverance, and a greater appreciation of the mysterious old box and its strange power. Although at first bringing misfortune, their hard work to put things right proves how powerful teenage friends can be when they work together.
