When it comes to birthdays, it’s the more the merrier in Nadya Suleman‘s household.
The 47-year-old, who was famously dubbed “Octomom” after giving birth to octuplets, treated her eight youngest kids to a vegan doughnut feast ahead of their 14th birthday. As seen in a video published by TMZ, Noah, Maliyah, Isaiah, Nariyah, Jonah, Makai, Josiah and Jeremiah were serenaded by the family before digging into the sugary confections.
“Make a wish,” Suleman, who now prefers to be called Natalie, gushed as her kids blew out the candles on their plant-based treats. “Yay!”
In addition to her octuplets, Suleman is also mom to six older children: Elijah, 21, Amerah, 20, Joshua, 29, Aidan, 17, and twins Calyssa and Caleb, 13.
Suleman’s eight younger kids were conceived through in vitro fertilization after a California specialist implanted 12 embryos. The octuplets were born through C-section on Jan. 26, 2009. At the time, they weighed between 1 lbs., 8 oz. and 3 lbs., 4 oz.

Her children are split into two sets of four – the older set aged 14 and the younger aged 11. The occasion is a major milestone for any family, as the children have all grown up so much and are entering into the teenage years.
The celebrations are taking place at the Suleman’s new home in California. The family moved there in 2019 after a long period without an appropriate home.
The children have been treated to an array of activities and experiences, ranging from a private pool party with close family friends to a day out at Disneyland. Suleman also reportedly bought her eldest son a brand new car for his big day, which has caused a stir in the press.
The family shared a heartwarming video of the celebrations on their YouTube channel, showing the siblings enjoying quality time together as well as receiving a beautiful set of cakes custom-designed for each of them.
Suleman spoke about how proud she is of her children and how much she loves them. Despite the media attention she has had in the past, it’s clear that her children are her primary focus and she is immensely proud of who they have become.
