In an interview with US Weekly, Priscilla said she’s struggling to cope with the devastating loss of her beloved daughter.
Lisa Marie Presley passed due to the effects of a drug overdose in July of 2020, leaving her family struggling to come to terms with their terrible loss. “It’s been a very dark, lonely journey,” Priscilla admitted. “I’ve never felt a pain so deep in my life. I think about her every day, and my heart still aches for her.”
However, Priscilla is finding peace in her faith and looking back on the fond memories she shared with Lisa Marie. “It’s hard to be without her,” she said. “These are the times when faith is all that’s left to hold onto.” She added, “I remember the happy times with Lisa Marie, and it helps you get through the day.”
While Priscilla Presley is far from recovering, she is gradually starting to heal, taking comfort in the love and support of family friends. “My faith will carry me through this pain and grief,” she said. Aside from her faith, Priscilla says that focusing on helping her grandchildren, whom Lisa Marie left behind, is also helping her heal. “I look at them and see their mother’s spirit in their eyes, and that brings me some joy.”
The Presley family has yet to come to terms with the loss of their beloved daughter and sister, Lisa Marie. And yet, Priscilla has learned to make peace with the sadness and find moments of joy, all while honoring her daughter’s legacy and helping her grandchildren as best she can.
