RHOSLC’s Heather Gay Finally Comes Clean About Her Black Eye

And if Jen did do it, Heather revealed that she “would cover it up,” as not to impact Jen’s federal fraud case. Jen was sentenced to six-and-a-half years in prison on Jan. 6 after pleading guilty to conspiracy to commit wire fraud and money laundering charges in July 2022.
RHOSLC friend-of Angie Katsanevas added to the suspicion by noting that Jen was “very off and not present the next day,” continuing, “And then, when production asked Heather at the Greek dinner, ‘What happened to your eye?’ Jen looked at her quietly and said, ‘What are you gonna say happened?'”
As Andy reminded the group, Angie also speculated at Heather’s season finale book cover reveal party that Jen gave Heather a black eye while doing “Barbie scissor kicks” in her hotel room.
“I was talking to some people,” Angie explained, “and they said, ‘Have you ever heard of any sexual relations between Heather and Jen?'”
Source link Utah’s newest Real Housewives franchise, RHOSLC, has been an almost instant hit with television viewers since its debut in November. The show follows six affluent Salt Lake City women and their families as they navigate the balancing act of motherhood, business, and luxury lifestyles.
One of the most talked-about moments of the show’s first season was Real Housewife Heather Gay’s black eye. Speculation arose among viewers as to how Heather acquired the shiner, with some theorizing it might have been the result of domestic violence.
In a recent interview, Heather finally cleared the air regarding the mystery of her black eye. Heather revealed she got into a physical altercation with a friend during their trip to Puerto Rico. In the heat of the moment, Heather’s friend “accidentally” hit her in the eye.
“My friend lost her angrier and threw a punch at me, and I reflexively threw my arm up to block it. She got me in the eye,” said Heather. “I was very embarrassed and I didn’t want to talk about it at the time….I was still processing it.”
The altercation, Heather said, was an isolated incident and the pair are still good friends. She considers the experience to be a “blessing in disguise,” believing that it was a learning experience that brought her closer to understanding the consequences of physical aggression.
Heather, the strong-willed daughter of a Marine, went on to say that even if it is human nature to react defensively when attacked, it is still necessary to maintain control. She believes it is not worth taking a punch or going on the defensive if it means risking getting hurt.
Heather spoke with Big City Moms about the incident and urged young or vulnerable women to speak up if they experience or witness violence.
“It’s not worth it to put yourself in danger, so just end the situation before anything gets physical. Don’t push things too far that you trust it’s gonna happen. I’m lucky that I’m okay; it could have been badly, you know, it could have gone a lot worse.”
Overall, Heather has taken the lessons from her black eye experience and applied them both to her personal and professional life. She hopes by coming forward about her story, it will empower other women to leave a situation where physical violence is a possibility.
