Survivor 44: Meet the 18 Contestants Competing For Sole Survivor

Come on in!

Believe it or not, Survivor is just about ready to air its 44th season—and CBS officially revealed its latest cast of 18 castaways on Jan. 31.

Ahead of the two-hour season premiere on March 1, host Jeff Probst and his crew will be returning to the Mamanuca Islands in Fiji for the 12th consecutive season to see who has what it takes to outwit, outplay and outlast their competition in order to win the $1 million prize.

The new cast of hopefuls will be split across three tribes of six for 26 days’ worth of gameplay, with contestants ranging in age from 20 to 46. Most notably, former Seattle Seahawks fullback Brandon Cottom will be amongst the players.

Probst previously detailed his future on the show following the most recent season finale, which saw Mike Gabler beat out Cassidy Clark and Owen Knight for the title of Sole Survivor and the cash prize, which he donated to military veterans.

The long-running American reality competition series ‘Survivor’ is about to debut its 44th season, featuring 18 new contestants all vying for the top prize of sole survivor.

This season, fans are set to witness a grueling drama unfold in the remote Fiji islands, with the 18 daring competitors aiming to outwit, outplay and outlast the rest. Those interested in taking part in the competition were asked to prove their strength and resilience by completing a rigorous application process. They were also required to undergo physical and psychological tests before the selection of the participants began.

The 18 brave castaways will be divided into three tribes. The first tribe is ‘Mana’, an all-women group, followed by ‘Kama’, a blend of men and women, and lastly ‘Vuku’, another all-women team. Each tribe will have its own different set of challenges as they work to survive.

Introducing the brave contestants, we have Vata Fualaau, a fire fighter and EMT from Utah. His self-proclaimed strategy is to dominate in the individual challenges and prove that he is not a “one-dimensional” player.

Next on the list is Kourtney Moon, a former professional athlete and current stay-at-home-mom. Her approach centers around engaging potential allies and adapting her strategy to the situation.

In addition to these two, contestants include fashion designer Shannon Burns, U.S. Coast Guard member Erik Castro and elementary school teacher Jennah-Louise Salkeld, amongst many others.

The competition will be fierce, as relationships are formed, rivalries ignited and backstabbing commences. Will one of the 18 contestants emerge as the sole survivor or will another player rise to the top? Only time will tell.

‘Survivor 44’ is set to debut on CBS this spring. Tune in to see all the drama unfold!
